Our calculator uses the standard UK electricity rate (~24p/kWh). If you have an EV tariff with off-peak rates (as low as 7.5p/kWh), your actual savings could be significantly higher than shown.

Public Charging

We assume an average of 60p/kWh for public rapid charging. If you primarily use free workplace charging or cheaper slow public chargers, your costs will be lower.

Additional Savings

This calculator focuses on fuel costs only. Remember to factor in additional EV benefits: £0 road tax, lower maintenance, ULEZ exemption, and potentially much lower company car tax.
